Florence and Plymouth exchanged scoreless frames until -- at last -- someone crossed the plate.
The Florence Flamingos racked up a win at Florence Field, bumping off the Plymouth Rocks, 1-0, in 11 innings. Luis Domínguez, who started for Florence, pitched effectively for his team. The wins continue to add up for Florence. The latest makes it 9 in a row.
The Flamingos got a clutch hit from right fielder Lorenzo Gutiérrez. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Flamingos.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Domínguez.
