Lee Wood, who leads the SAAA in strikeouts with 138, was locked in. The right-hander led the Monongahela Monsters to a 7-4 win against the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark. The Monsters saw their record improve to 48-33.

Monongahela used a timely hit from 27-year old shortstop Todd Snow to get the win. The shortstop delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Monsters on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero.
