Pajaritos Outlast Golden Cranes, 14-12
The Norfolk Pajaritos beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 14-12, Pajaritos. One of the hitting stars was left fielder Curt Wilson. Wilson went 1 for 2 with 3 walks and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs. Jesús Sánchez, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Davey de Haan earned the save for Norfolk.

Tom Burke had a big 2-run double for the Pajaritos in the bottom of the first inning. With Norfolk leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from David Luna, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA in quality starts with 10, and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pajaritos ahead, 4-1.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Burke.

The win gives Norfolk a season record of 48-34.
