The Port Huron Blitzkrieg weathered a fine game by Milton left fielder Gerardo Carranza to upend the Dogfish Head, 8-7, at Milton Corner Tavern. Carranza was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Chris Morris. He tossed 88 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. Luis Montáñez earned the save, his 2nd, for the Blitzkrieg.

Port Huron right fielder Alejandro Rivera contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 45th hit of the season and put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 8-6.

"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Blitzkrieg manager Mike Nyberg.
