Monongahela parlayed a decent outing from starter Doug Kellar into a solid win over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. The final score was 9-4. Sterling Reece earned the save for Monongahela, his 4th of the year. Monongahela is now 54-29.
In the bottom of the fifth, Monongahela right fielder Charles Brown had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Brown stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-1, Monongahela. For the game, he went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Doug did a nice job," said Monsters manager Sancho Tornero.
