Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Norfolk Pajaritos got the win.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Norfolk Pajaritos and the Alaskan Humpbacks, 28-year old left-handed pitcher José Peña was the difference-maker. The Norfolk left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Maurice Richards, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings.
