Milton starter Juan Ramírez pitched well against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win was credited to former first round draft pick Nick Young in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Ray Duncan took the loss. The Dogfish Head sit in 8th place in the Silver AAA with a record of 38-47.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Brent Keys? The 29-year old third baseman Keys stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Milton up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I'm proud to wear a Milton jersey," Ramírez told the Milton News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
