Milton starter Michael Shepard pitched well against the Athletic Club KC Reserves at KC Reserve Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-1. With the win, Milton raised its record to 47-38.

Andy McGee had a big solo home run for the Dogfish Head in the top of the fourth inning. With Milton leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a cutter from Richie Lems, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA with a 7.9 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dogfish Head ahead, 3-1.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Kiril Neuvel. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
