Red Pandas Earn Clutch Win, 2-1
The Kansas Rainbeaus could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jake Howell into a win. Instead, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas prevailed, 2-1. Howell threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. Denny Gaston got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The loss makes Kansas 45-40.

The Red Pandas got a clutch hit from first baseman Chris Perry. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Pandas.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Sioux Falls manager Juriaan van der Kieft.
