Calgary Lynx starter Kosaku Kobayashi had all his pitches working at Lynx Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Calgary win over the Montreal Machine. Kobayashi got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 5 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The triumph puts Calgary at 43-43 for the season.

The Lynx got an important contribution from second baseman Miguel Zarate, who in the bottom of the eighth knocked a first pitch sinker to left-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Lynx ahead, 8-2.
