In a tight contest between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and the Nashville Hot Chickens, David Rubin was the determining factor. The Sioux Falls right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-0 win. Sioux Falls reliever Carlos Rodríguez was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Wendell Latham.

Sioux Falls grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Tim Hopkins delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0, in favor of the Red Pandas.

"I had a good game," said Rubin. "Winning makes it even better."

Sioux Falls, at 41-46, occupies 6th place in the Silver AAA.
