Liberty Reserves Turn Back Florence, 5-3
|
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves picked up a win at Liberty Reserve Stadium, downing the Florence Flamingos, 5-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Patrick Davis, who played a pivotal role in the win. The save went to Bill Carson, his 23rd this season. The Liberty Reserves now have a mark of 55-32.
Isaaka Kaikala, the Philadelphia designated hitter, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning to make the score 5-3, Liberty Reserves. For the game, Kaikala was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Patrick had good arm action, good stuff," said Philadelphia manager Kiril Neuvel.
