The timely hitting of Michael Barry helped the Montreal Machine down the Monongahela Monsters, 6-4. Barry went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Machine. Gary Smith, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 5-2. Bill Ramírez notched his 14th save in 16 chances.

With Montreal leading 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Barry hit a changeup from Laionela Pualani for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Machine ahead, 6-1.

"We took home the win," said Barry. "What's not to like?"

At 57-31, the Machine have a slim two-game lead in the Silver AAA.
