The home crowd had a good time watching the Plymouth Rocks and Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds get after it.

Ellenburg parlayed a decent outing from starter Bob Porter into a solid win over the Plymouth Rocks. The final score was 6-3. Ellenburg reliever Stu Searle was the winner. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Jon Turner.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Edwardo Brochado came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Plymouth pitcher Jon Turner, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ellenburg on top, 4-3.

"Bob is a gamer," said Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez.

The Fighting Dachshunds move to 55-33 with the win, while the Rocks drop to 45-43.
