At Florence Field, the Florence Flamingos and Tortolita Drummers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Tortolita Drummers stopped the Florence Flamingos, 6-2, at Florence Field. The Drummers got a big game from Julius Sharp, who was 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Tortolita, at 58-30, is 6 games up in the Silver AAA.
Tortolita used the hitting of Chet McFadden to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Drummers on top, 5-2. For the game, McFadden had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sharp.
