Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds starter Ambrosi Pigafetta pitched a strong game against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Dog Park in Ellenburg, leading the Fighting Dachshunds to victory, 4-3. Ray Duncan snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Norm Coleman suffered the loss. The win elevated the Fighting Dachshunds to 55-33.

Had Fred Koch not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Koch hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Fighting Dachshunds.

"Both teams played hard," said Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez.
