The Monongahela Monsters picked up a win at Milton Corner Tavern, knocking off the Milton Dogfish Head, 5-3. Starting pitcher Xavier Martínez was a big reason why. Héctor González, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 24th save. The second-place Monsters hiked their record to 53-36.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tim Anderson? The Monongahela center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Monsters on top, 3-1. For the game, Anderson had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
