Nashville and Norfolk played a hard-fought contest.

The Nashville Hot Chickens picked up a win at Norfolk Field, courtesy of Edmund Rochefort. The right-hander helped his team stop the Norfolk Pajaritos, 2-1. Rochefort picked up the win for Nashville, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 7-7. Fred Hardy wrapped it up, recording his 8th save.

Steve Walker cracked a home run off Ted Elkins in the top of the third. His 2-run blast put the Hot Chickens on top, 2-0. In all, Walker had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"Watch and learn," said Walker. "This is what good pitching looks like."

The 9th-place Hot Chickens bumped their record to 38-52.
