Black Mambas Lose as Liberty Reserves Stage Late Rally
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves beat the Austin Black Mambas, 4-1, at Liberty Reserve Stadium. Starting pitcher Patrick Davis was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Earning his 1st save of the year was Dick Hill. With the victory, the Liberty Reserves upped their record to 58-32.

Dan Cook cracked a home run off Steve Green in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Liberty Reserves on top, 4-1. In all, Cook had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Davis.
