The Sioux Falls Red Pandas knocked off the Sunset District Fog, 10-7, at The Bamboo Forest. Tom Smythe was a big reason Sioux Falls won. The right fielder was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Rick Dunlap, now 9-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The first-place Red Pandas, at 58-34, now lead their division by 3 games.
In the bottom of the eighth, Smythe put his team in front with his 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Frank Courtney, made it 10-7, Sioux Falls.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Smythe said after the game.
