Fighting Dachshunds Need Extra Innings to Top Thunderbirds, 4-2
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds got a stellar effort from pitcher Anastasio Ayala, helping Ellenburg score a win over the visiting Hamilton Thunderbirds, 4-2. Ellenburg reliever Anastasio Ayala got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Gregory Gilbert was tagged with the loss. The Fighting Dachshunds now have a record of 28-64.

Ming Wang electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 13th when he took Hamilton pitcher Gregory Gilbert deep. His 2-run home run sent the Fighting Dachshunds home winners.

"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Ayala.
