Red Pandas Topple Blitzkrieg, 3-1, as Konishi Shines
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas stymied the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 3-1, at Port Huron Park. Takafumi Konishi had a good day at the plate. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Sioux Falls. The Red Pandas, at 50-43, sit in 5th place in the Silver AAA.

In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, Konishi came to the plate. He drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Frank Randolf to put the Red Pandas in the lead, 1-0.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Sioux Falls manager Juriaan van der Kieft.
