The Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 6-1, in USSL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Hamilton pitcher Benoît Lambert had a standout performance. Hamilton, now 38-55, holds down 9th place in the Silver AAA.

Lambert made it look easy. He scattered 4 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-7.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Lambert.
