Sioux Falls pitcher Alan Lyons did his part in helping his team defeat the Tortolita Drummers, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Lyons got the win, improving to 2-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. With the victory, the Red Pandas upped their record to 52-42.
Sioux Falls used the hitting of Francisco De La Cruz to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 2-0. For the game, De La Cruz had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," De La Cruz said.
