Win Goes to Machine in Tight Contest
|
The Montreal Machine faced a tough opponent in Milton pitcher Juan Ramírez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Milton Corner Tavern by a final score of 7-5. Ramírez went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The Machine are now 60-35.
Montreal used a clutch hit from Gregory Hartman to snatch the win. The designated hitter belted a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Machine ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"We've got a great group of guys," Hartman said, "and we're having fun right now."
