Monongahela pitcher Ray Mitrou did his part in helping his team beat the Florida Men, 7-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Skip Lewis in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Júlio Ramírez took the loss. The 7th-place Monsters hiked their record to 41-55.

Aaron Ritter had a clutch hit in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two men out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Monongahela second baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Monsters in the lead, 7-3.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Ritter after the game.
