The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, topping the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 3-0. On the mound for Syracuse was right-hander Lou Bancroft. He played a principal role in the triumph. Syracuse raised its record to 50-47 with the win.

Syracuse relied on the bat of Sidney Ames to get the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 2-0. For the game, Ames had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"We put together a nice win," Ames said.
