Dogfish Head Suffer One-Run Loss at Ellenburg
|
Ellenburg starter Bryan Ogle pitched effectively against the Milton Dogfish Head at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The winner was Al Moore in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Kelvin van Enk took the loss. With the win, Ellenburg pushed its record to 61-36.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Luis Enríquez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Milton pitcher Willard Wilhelm, he hit a 0-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ellenburg on top, 2-1.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Milton manager Austin Case. "The effort was great."
