The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves faced a tough opponent in Sioux Falls pitcher Ryan Ward, but still scratched out a win at Liberty Reserve Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Ward went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Liberty Reserves improved to 61-37.

The Liberty Reserves got a clutch hit from first baseman Ángelo Soto. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Liberty Reserves.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Soto, "but we really needed that win."
