NASHVILLE HOT CHICKENS AT HARTFORD PRIDE

Hartford and Nashville duked it out and the Pride came out victorious.

Hartford turned a good effort from starter Alex Wicksted into a win over the Nashville Hot Chickens at Pride Park. The Pride won the game, 3-2. The win went to Carlos Guzmán in relief, making him now 1-5. Takakazu Ishihara took the loss for Nashville. Jason Herbert was credited with the save, his 1st in 1 tries.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Pride had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the seventh, when third baseman David Miller hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Takakazu Ishihara and made the score 3-2, Pride. Miller went 1 for 3.

"Alex -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pride manager Tim Fowler. "He was the key to us winning."

With the victory, the Pride record stands at 41-57.
