Lynx Earn Clutch Win, 7-6
The Calgary Lynx beat the Norfolk Pajaritos, 7-6, in 11 innings. Calgary pitcher and Cheshire, Connecticut, native Eddy Poole led the way. Luis Tobías claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 3-3. The 'W' lifts Calgary's record to 54-45.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 24-year old shortstop Phil Maddox had a real shot to win the game. Norfolk pitcher Mario Pérez was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Maddox hit a run-scoring single. The Lynx had a walk-off triumph.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Maddox said.
