Rodríguez Drills 2 Homers in 5-3 Philadelphia Win
|
A good performance from designated hitter Chi Chi Rodríguez helped the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves defeat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-3. Rodríguez went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Liberty Reserves. The Liberty Reserves are now 62-37, while the Red Pandas fall to 46-53.
Rodríguez had a timely hit for Philadelphia in the bottom of the eighth. With Philadelphia trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-3, Philadelphia.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rodríguez said.
