Flowers, Drummers Too Much for Hot Chickens
|
Carl Flowers added some punch to the Tortolita offense, helping them outmuscle the Nashville Hot Chickens, 14-7. In the game, Flowers, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in home runs with 23, was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Dan Cook. He tossed 112 pitches over 7.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits. Tortolita sits in 4th place in the Silver AAA at 57-44.
Ash Cummins helped out the Tortolita cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
