Kansas Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Milton wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher David Guerra, falling to the Kansas Rainbeaus, 3-2. Guerra threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Jason Taylor earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-2. The Dogfish Head, at 38-64, have lost 5 straight games.
Kansas got a game-changing hit from Millard Carlson. The left fielder blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"This place was jumping at the end," Carlson said.
