The Richland Rails defeated the Minnesota Loons, 10-5, at Loony Bin. Richland was led by former first overall pick Mark Woods, who hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Richland reliever John McCall picked up the win to move to 1-0. Richard Albright suffered the loss. Richland goes to 2-2.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Woods delivered big-time for Richland, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Richard Albright. The game-changing hit put the Rails on top, 6-5.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Woods.
