Tacoma Rallies for 4-2 Victory
The Tacoma Fur Traders faced a tough opponent in Ottawa pitcher Bob O'Reilly, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Tacoma by a final score of 4-2. O'Reilly went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Juan Carlos Contreras snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Jimmy Jeffries suffered the loss. The win gives Tacoma a record of 5-4.

Tacoma took a 3-2 lead on Andrew Smith's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Smith hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ottawa pitcher Jimmy Jeffries visibly frustrated.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Tacoma skipper Owen Kieffer. "I can't complain."
