González Leads Detroit to 6-1 Win
|
The Detroit Elite beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-1, at Detroit Stadium. Starting pitcher Miguel González was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The first-place Elite now have a win-loss record of 29-10.
The Northern Lions BC had little chance against González, who overpowered Thunder Bay hitters and struck out 10.
"I had a good game plan," said González. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Dustin Hewitt said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
