Cape Coral Earns 3-2 Win
|
The Cape Coral Hurricanes racked up a win at Factory of Sadness, bumping off the Long Island Lighthouse, 3-2, in 10 innings. William Morris, who started for Cape Coral, pitched effectively for his team. The 4th-place Hurricanes bumped their record to 23-20.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Cape Coral. That's when 23-year old second baseman Jesús Casquete hit a 2-run home run off Michael Kilshaw to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Casquete said.
