Long Island Collects 5-2 Win

At Lang Park, the Dayton Dirty Reds and Long Island Lighthouse were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Long Island Lighthouse starter Ken Harding pitched well against the Dayton Dirty Reds at Lang Park, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Clancy Turner earned the save for Long Island, his 15th of the year.
Long Island used a well-timed hit by Duke Hoban to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Long Island skipper Michael Esposito.
The Lighthouse move to 34-20 with the win, while the Dirty Reds drop to 33-21.
