Grey Wolves Lose to Lighthouse, 6-5
The Long Island Lighthouse knocked off the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 6-5, in Menard's Third League action at The Lighthouse. Long Island pitcher and Siheung, South Korea, native Chan-seok Yi had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Yi surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. Picking up the save was former first round draft pick Bob Flannery.

The Grey Wolves had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Lighthouse going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 31-year old right fielder Mike McKinney came to the plate. McKinney hit a 2-run home run on a full count cutter from Vancouver hurler Pat Butler. It was McKinney's 6th home run of the year.

"I like our moxie," said Lighthouse manager Michael Esposito.

The Lighthouse have an impressive 35-20 record.
