Bowties Absorb 3-2 Home Loss
|
In a close game at 5 Paces Park, the Long Island Lighthouse edged the Buckhead Bowties, 3-2. Long Island designated hitter Eric Hall stood apart with his performance. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Bob Flannery notched his 4th save in 4 chances. The Third League-leading Lighthouse are 43-21.
Hall had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 changeup from Joe Proctor, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Lighthouse a 3-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Hall.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Hall.
