|
The exploits of shortstop Michael White, who is on pace for 79 RBI this season, helped the Long Island Lighthouse defeat the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 4-2. White slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning continues for Long Island, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
Long Island took a 4-1 lead on White's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Bob Smithley in the top of the sixth, propelled Long Island to the win.
