Thunder Bay Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC withstood an impressive performance by Kingston left fielder Mitsuo Suzuki to defeat the Ponies, 8-7, at Great Northern Field. Suzuki went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Danny Dillard in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Fred Hull took the loss. With the win, Thunder Bay goes to 30-39, while the Ponies fall to 34-35.

The Northern Lions BC relied on second baseman Hank Sutton for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"There's no quit in this team," said Northern Lions BC manager Scott Williams.
