Streaking Lakers Win Another One, 3-2
In a low-scoring contest between the Echo Park Lakers and the Montana Pandas, Sanya Matlah, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L with a 0.99 WHIP, proved to be the difference. The Echo Park right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Lakers win. John Ellis earned the save, his 15th, for the Lakers. The Lakers, at 43-32, sit in 4th place in the Third League.

Jimmy Dreux had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth for Echo Park. He came through with a 2-run home run to put Echo Park in front, 3-0.

"We put together a nice win," Matlah said.
