Ponies Lose Late to Billy Goats
The Colorado Billy Goats topped the Kingston Ponies, 5-4, in Menard's Third League action at Grazing Hills. The standout performance belonged to Colorado pitcher and Moncks Corner, South Carolina, native Todd Turner. Colorado reliever Hunter Stinson snagged the win, upping his record to 5-2. Anthon Arents shouldered the loss. With the win, Colorado goes to 55-21, while the Ponies fall to 36-40.

Robert Lander chipped in for Colorado, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with a double.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary.
