Doom goes 3-for-5, Lighthouse Move to 52-25
The Long Island Lighthouse powered past the Charleston Battery, 9-6, at Charleston Armory. Thulsa Doom provided some of the pop. King Jaffe Joffer was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Jeff Tate, who is tied for 9th in the 3L with a 2.79 ERA, was the winner. He's now 11-4. The loser was Jeremiah Cole. Bob Flannery earned the save for Long Island.

Doom contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Long Island in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Doom took a cutter from Jeremiah Cole and stroked the home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Lighthouse to leap in front, 4-1.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Doom.

Long Island has an impressive 52-25 record.
