Ponies Tag Billy Goats with 3-1 Loss
|
Kingston picked up a win at Grazing Hills, bumping off the Colorado Billy Goats, 3-1. Pitcher Li-ping Cheng was a major reason the Ponies emerged victorious. Fred Hull nailed down the save. The win makes Kingston 37-41.
Kingston used a clutch at-bat from Mitsuo Suzuki to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ponies ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Li-ping was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Kingston manager Rayzor Ray.
