Piranhas, Hernández Pin Bad Loss on Rock City
The Panama City Piranhas topped the Detroit Rock City, 10-1, with third baseman Carlos Hernández playing a big role. Hernández was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Piranhas in the win. With the win over Detroit, the Piranhas improved to 39-41.

Hernández contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Panama City in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Hernández took a curveball from Steve Kidd and stroked the double to right. His 12th double of the season allowed the Piranhas to leap in front, 2-1.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante.
