The Ponies earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 12 innings at Megaffin Park. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Charleston pitcher Immeghar Cherono. Cherono went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Brian Pinkman snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 3.2 innings. He's now 1-3 on the season. With the win, Kingston goes to 43-52, while the Battery fall to 35-60.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Kingston left fielder Mitsuo Suzuki, facing Mitch Henley, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Ponies the 4-3 win.

"There's no quit in this team," said Ponies manager Rayzor Ray.
