Bowties Rally to Nose Past Long Island
Buckhead beat Long Island at 5 Paces Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Héctor Chávez. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Buckhead reliever Tristan Liefting snagged the win, upping his record to 5-5. Bob Flannery shouldered the loss. The Bowties sit in 10th place in the Third League with a record of 43-56.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Buckhead trailing 5-3, Chávez hit a slider from Bob Flannery for a 3-run home run, giving the Bowties the walk-off win.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Chávez told the Buckhead Today.
