Win Makes Long Island 72-32
|
Long Island picked up a win at The Dungeon in Halifax, bumping off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 7-5. Pitcher Jack Peters was a major reason the Lighthouse emerged victorious. Peters, the winner, moves to 12-4. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The Lighthouse have now won 5 straight.
Eric Hall, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L in runs scored with 72, helped out the Long Island cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4 with a walk.
"We ground out the win," said Peters. "That's all that matters."
