Lakers Improve to 55-53 with 3-1 Win
The Echo Park Lakers earned a close win over the Long Island Lighthouse, thanks in part to Jeremy Dean. The Echo Park left-hander, who finished 3rd in the 3L in triples with 6 in 2058, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Dean, the winner, moves to 2-6. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Warner Alder nailed down his 26th save.

Echo Park took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Richard Tanner hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Lakers.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Tanner, "and then get after it again."
