Piranhas Even Record with 5-4 Victory

The Dayton Dirty Reds got a superb performance from pitcher Glenn Hughes, but the Panama City Piranhas still won the game, 5-4. Hughes threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Richard Kinmont, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. Panama City raised its record to 54-54 with the win.
Had Manny Feliciano not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Feliciano hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Piranhas.
In postgame comments to the Panama City Chronicle, Feliciano said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
